Jennifer Lopez's beau Casper Smart won't entertain "jealous and vindictive" rumours.

The 42-year-old superstar began dating 25-year-old back-up dancer Casper following the breakdown of her marriage to Marc Anthony last year.

Recent pictures have emerged of Casper dressed in shiny gold hot pants.

Hearsay is rampant about his true sexual preference and whether his relationship with Jennifer is based on ulterior motives.

Casper doesn't care about what other people say.

"As far as he's concerned, the people spreading these stories are jealous and vindictive," a source told the American edition of OK! Magazine. "They want what he has and they're willing to make up stories to try and bring him down, no matter what. He won't let them get to him. In his mind, if he does, they win. He knows he's in love with Jen."

Like her beau, Jennifer remains coolheaded about the situation. Still, she is vigilant about their romance.

"Jen is one of the most tolerant people on the planet," the insider said.

"[But] she's not made of steel and she does worry about people using her."
