Jessica Biel: Justin picked my ring

10th July 2012

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jessica Biel had no involvement in choosing her engagement ring.

The actress' fianc Justin Timberlake didn't consult her before designing the impressive diamond band. Jessica insists she trusted Justin's taste when it came to selecting the piece of jewellery.

"I had no say whatsoever [in the ring]. I don't micromanage," she told the latest issue of US magazine InStyle.

The star grew up in Colorado and dreams of returning there when she has a family. Jessica and Justin currently live in Los Angeles, but the beauty isn't sure she would want to raise children in the city.

"I would like those future little people to have the experience I had, in some capacity. It was fun," she smiled. "I love Colorado; I've always thought that could be a possibility for me."

Jessica also revealed what she looks for in a man. The 30-year-old Hollywood star appreciates supportive people who can make her laugh. She also wants the man of her dreams to be willing to compromise when it comes to his career and spending quality time with her.

"It is important to me to have a partner who is loving and fun someone who inspires me. And he must be a good person," she explained. "Justin and I have a rule that we don't let a certain amount of time go by without seeing each other, but it doesn't always work. But from here on out, I want to participate in making smart choices for the relationship."

Although they always think about each other before taking on new projects, Jessica insists they are both independent people.

The star has learned to trust her own instincts and not rely on someone else to make her happy.

"In my earlier experiences with relationships, I was really vulnerable to somebody else's personality, hobbies and way of life," she added. "But as I've gotten older, I've become proud of the traits that make me who I am. Maintaining my individuality is really important to me because otherwise I can easily slip into somebody else's life. So I'm glad I'm getting better at it. It's a process, but it's getting simpler." (C) Cover Media
