(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jessica Simpson has promised fans to expect something different from her new album, because she had complete control over it.

The blonde star is thrilled with how her new Christmas album has turned out and feels it is a better reflection of her true sound than anything she has worked on before. Happy Christmas features a series of festive tunes and Jessica debuted her new single My Only Wish on Ryan Seacrests KIIS FM radio show yesterday.

This [album] is different because its under my complete control, Jessica told Ryan. Its the first record that Im putting out on eleveneleven Records which is my new record company.

I think its great to have a spiritual record out there to be my first record because thats how I got started in the business anyway.

The 30-year-old also discussed her ex-husband Nick Lacheys recent engagement. Jessica vehemently denied rumours she was left devastated by news he has asked Vanessa Minnillo to marry him. In fact, rather than being upset about the impending nuptials, Jessica who filed for divorce from Nick in 2005 after three years of marriage - insists she just wants Nick to be happy.

I dont know where all those rumours came from. My mom actually called me and told me that everybody was saying that I was saddened? I was just in complete shock, Jessica said.

I couldnt be more happy for Nick. Our relationship was over a really long time ago so it would be nice if everybody could move on with us and really just celebrate the love between him and Vanessa. I do, and I wish them nothing but the best.
