(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Daniel Radcliffe has joked that he stole his characters glasses from the Harry Potter movie.
The British actor plays the lead role and title character in the Harry Potter film franchise about a group of wizard students battling a villain called Voldemort, adapted from the books by author J.K. Rowling.
Harry is famed for his geeky spectacles, and Daniel admits he became so attached to wearing his characters glasses that he made sure he could cherish them forever as a keepsake.
"I stole the glasses!" he teased in an interview with ET, before correcting himself and admitting he received them as more of a gift.
"[Actually], they gave them to me - I asked for them.
The film franchise is now coming to an end, with the final instalments in the series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One and Part Two, due for release this month and in July 2011 respectively.
Daniel has kept his characters spectacles from the very first Harry Potter movie, although he admits his head has grown somewhat since 2001 when Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone came out. He also had the pair from the final movie, which are a better fit.
I've got one pair from the first film, which are very, very small now for my head, and the very last ones I wore in [this] film, so yeah. They're in a very safe place - not in my house, because that would just be foolish and I would break them," he laughed. (C) Cover Media
