(Cover) - EN Star Style - Joan Rivers has praised Kate Middleton for looking gorgeous so far.

The 77-year-old comedienne hosts the television show Fashion Police, where she dissects the attire worn by famous faces. Joan is famed for her harsh comments on the way celebrities look, although the star has been unable to find fault with royal-to-be Kate Middleton.

Kate will marry Britains Prince William in a lavish ceremony at Westminster Abbey next April, and Joan is overwhelmed by how elegant the beautiful brunette always looks. She feels any comparisons between Kate and Prince Williams late mother Princess Diana would be incongruous.

"She's going to be smarter than all of us put together. She's got the body, she's very thin, she's got a great style to her... She knows what she's doing, she's smart, she's older - it's not like Princess Diana at 19. I think she's looked gorgeous so far, gushed Joan in an interview with The Cut.

Joan was less complimentary of pop singer Katy Perry, as she cant comprehend some of the stars kooky outfits. Despite finding Katy incredibly pretty, Joan wishes the songstress would dress a little more sensibly.

"What theyre starting to do now, which worries me, is theyre all trying to copy Lady Gaga. You want to say to Katy Perry, Youre beautiful! Youve got the body, wear a pretty dress. You dont have to strap electrical stuff on your dress, she added. (C) Cover Media
