The gorgeous model is known for her party lifestyle often being snapped by photographers enjoying a night out with her celebrity pals.

Kate says she likes to bring this vibe to a pre-public appearance gathering, where her many associates get involved.

The star also lets her eight-year-old daughter Lila, whose father is her ex-partner, journalist Jefferson Hack, have a say on how the superstar will look.

Getting ready for the red carpet, I have all my friends there and Lila watches and plays with the make-up, Kate told InStyle. Shell say, Mummy, I like that. That way, its more like a party and its fun.

But the 36-year-old admits the whole experience of meeting and greeting the crowds can be daunting. Kate often gets nervous waiting around before showbiz events, although some days she feels calmer.

I find the red carpet nerve-wracking. The pressure, and oh my goodness, the build-up. Sometimes its all right, but it depends on the day, Kate added. (C) Cover Media
