Joe Jonas: I want to be edgy

11th February 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Joe Jonas says his new single will be edgy.

The singer shot to fame in the American pop/rock band Jonas Brothers, alongside his siblings Nick and Kevin, and they became one of the most sought-after groups in the world.

Youngest brother Nick, 18, has already pursued other projects with his group Nick Jonas & the Administration, and now Joe is also working apart from his brothers on a new, more grown-up sounding album.

Originally it was thought Joe would be making a soft-sounding record, although the 21-year-old has indicated that the new record will surprise fans.

"I think edgier is good," he told ET.

Joe wants to make music that is authentic and personal to him, while adding a party vibe to the song. The singer revealed her wanted the make songs that people could dance to and have a good time.

Joe also learned from his brother Nick's solo project. He made an album independent of his brothers called Who I Am in 2010 with Nick Jonas & the Administration. Older brother Joe says he now wants to get the same kind of experience that his brother did.

"The biggest thing that I saw from him - he just had a good time and he did a record that was for him," he said. (C) Cover Media
