Joe Jonas struggling with birthday plans

8th July 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Joe Jonas wants to "party" and have "fun" for his birthday this summer, but is too bogged down by professional obligations to figure out what to do.

The singer turns 22 on August 15th, but Joe does not have any concrete plans. He is focussed on his career more than ever at the moment as his new album and first solo project Fast Life will be released in September.

"I don't have any birthday plans yet, actually," Joe told MTV News. "I don't even know where we're going to be because we're trying to figure out a touring situation right now and it either looks like I'm going on my tour, my own tour or opening up for somebody, supporting somebody on tour. But wherever I am, there will be a party and it will be fun."

Tour plans have been topsy-turvy for Joe all summer. He was originally rumoured to be performing on Britney Spears' now all-female Femme Fatale round of shows, but that fell through. Joe is still optimistic that things will work out for him on the performance front and he is hoping to be able to trek the world singing with his dream tourmate.

"My dream list, wow... I mean, doing a tour with Chris [Brown] would be cool," said Joe. "I feel like, musically, we both have the same sounds and we liked working together, so I can see it working."

Until tour plans are concrete, Joe is preparing mentally for the release of his upcoming album. The record is very personal and he is eager to see how it is received by the public.

"[Cutting the album] was scary in the beginning," said Joe, "just because I knew this is my one opportunity to show people my journal: the good and bad of every relationship I've been in, you know, [and] what I look for [in relationships]." (C) Cover Media
