(Cover) - EN Showbiz - John Cleese has a short fuse when movie bosses try to interfere with his work.

The actor is best known for appearing in comedies Monty Python, Fawlty Towers and A Fish Called Wanda. He enjoys making films but finds it hard when people make suggestions about his work, as they have done on a frequent basis over the last few years.

I had a difficult period with the Hollywood studios a few years ago, when I wrote a couple of what I thought were very good screenplays, and they agreed, then set about screwing them up, he explained to a British newspaper.

Watching these people who had almost no idea what they were talking about, telling me what to do after Id been doing it for 35 years, infuriated me. I have a short fuse under those circumstances.

This is part of the reason John has decided to embark on a stand-up show, called An Evening with the Legendary John Cleese. The performance includes jokes about his personal and professional life as well as digs at some of his famous friends, and John is sure itll be a crowd pleaser.

He decided to embark on the tour after being asked to stage shows in New Zealand, revealing there was one big reason why he accepted the offer. I thought, yes, because nobodys going to be telling me what to do in New Zealand, he laughed. (C) Cover Media
