(Cover) - EN Movies - John Malkovich has signed on to star in mobster thriller Siberian Education.
The Con Air star will play an ageing gangster who goes out of his way to teach his son the morals of "honest criminals", reports Variety. The film is based on Nicolai Lilin's autobiographical book, which charts his time living among mobsters during the 80s and 90s in Transnistria, near Ukraine.
Lithuanian actor Arnas Fedaravicius will play the grandson in the movie, which is set to begin filming in his home country at the end of August. It's reported that they will also be shooting in Italy.
John recently starred in the third Transformers movie, and his co-star Shia LaBeouf couldn't believe how hard working the veteran actor was.
"When we were doing publicity, he really turned the interesting on," said Shia. "We're flying around the world and he's prepping two operas - one in French, which is a one-man show, and another six-man show that he does in Russia. He's prepping that while we're trying to formulate what our answers are going to be for the [press] tour... We're watching him do three, four different languages." (C) Cover Media
