Jonah Hill: I have a director wish list

10th September 2010

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Jonah Hill wrote an outrageous list of people he wanted to work with at the start of his career.

The 26-year-old-actor is considered one of the biggest names in Hollywood comedy, and is slowly working through a long list of directors he has always admired. Jonah explained he hired a manager after playing Bret in the 2004 movie I Heart Huckabees, and it was the professionals idea to come up with the wish list.

"It was odd," he told British newspaper The Daily Mirror. "I got a manager after Huckabees, and he asked me to write down all the people I'd like to work with. So I wrote this outrageous list and included Judd Apatow.

At the time Jonah made the list Judd was relatively unknown, but Jonahs foresight meant he went on to be cast in the directors smash-hit comedy The 40 Year Old Virgin alongside Hollywood stars Steve Carell and Paul Rudd.

Jonah says the successful director is still as humble today as he was before he became famous.

"My manager said, 'How do you even know who he is?' Judd wasn't the force he is these days but even now he doesn't take his success for granted, explained Jonah.

Although Jonahs career has been going from strength to strength over recent years, the actor admits he still worries that one day his success will end. He feels blessed to have a job he loves so much, and hopes to continue working for the rest of his life.

"There is never any guarantee of work. It's a very difficult business. I'm just really lucky to be making movies," he beamed. "I look to guys like Ben Stiller, Sacha Baron Cohen and Adam Sandler. I respect them massively. (C) Cover Media
