Julia Roberts: I'm lucky in love

24th June 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Julia Roberts feels "lucky" to be married to someone that she admires.

The Hollywood actress wed cameraman Danny Moder nine years ago and the couple have three kids six-year-old twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, and Henry, four.

Julia is content with her home life and felt real compassion for the character she plays in Larry Crowne. In the new movie, Julia portrays an alcoholic college teacher who is deeply unhappy with her husband, who has an obsession with internet porn.

"I'm, luckily, happily married to a person that I admire and enjoy so it's not really fair to say or to conjure some kind of bad scenario that I wouldn't tolerate," she explained in an interview with British newspaper The Independent. "I think people have their different ideas of what's good and what's happy in this particular scenario that Tom [Hanks] drew for me. But it was fun to play and Bryan [Cranston] is hilarious but, yeah, it's sad for both of them, the situation they've gotten themselves into in that house."

Tom Hanks plays the title role in the movie about a man who enrols in college after he loses his job.

While Larry faces a mid-life crisis in the film, Tom insists he is happy to be turning 55 next month.

"It's just the opposite; I'm embracing the whole thing because there's no way I'd want to be 44 again, much less 54," Tom explained. "The concept of a midlife crisis is: a guy who has everything wakes up, [thinks] 'I have everything and yet I'm unhappy'. I've never remotely gone through anything like that at all." (C) Cover Media
