(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Julia Roberts is “anxious” about how her new film Eat, Pray, Love will be received.
The 42-year-old actress stars in the upcoming drama which is based on the memoirs of American author Elizabeth Gilbert. The movie documents Elizabeth’s decision to spend one year travelling the world to get over her difficult divorce.
During the course of the film, Elizabeth spends four months in Italy eating, four months in India seeking spirituality and four months in Indonesia looking for love.
The book remained on the New York Times Best Seller list for 158 weeks and is one of the best-loved tomes of recent times, but Julia is still worried no one will go to see the film adaptation. She is pleased with her nerves, however, as they prove she has put her heart and soul into the project.
“If I’m not feeling anxious and excited and nervous, then I haven’t invested much in it and I shouldn’t be there,” Julia told the Associated Press. “So, really, I just want to put myself in a position where I am really feeling like I have to ramp up and accomplish my goals.”
Julia isn’t that only one who is anxious about the movie. Director Ryan Murphy has revealed he was terrified before he met the star for the first time because he has always admired her.
“I was really nervous before I met her because I have been a fan, too. I have seen all of her movies,” Ryan said. “Nothing surprises me about her because what you see is what you get with Julia, which is why I think people love her and why she lasts and continues to last. “Because she is very sincere, very empathetic, and compassionate. What I didn’t know is how funny she was.”
Julia has three children with her husband Danny Moder, twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, five, and three-year-old Henry. She says her next big project will be “getting the kids ready for kindergarten”. (C) Cover Media
