Julia Roberts remembers her late father "so dearly and vividly."
The actress spoke at the 2012 Stands Up to Cancer event this weekend.
Julia, who is now mother to three children with her husband Danny Moder, lost her father to the disease when she was 10-years-old.
The star admits that she wishes he were still around.
"I don't remember his illness, really, but I remember him so dearly and vividly," Julia told Extra. "That's where you feel the real ripoff. He's not here to be a grandparent."
Julia maintains a healthy lifestyle and attends routine preventative cancer screenings with her doctor.
"[I'm trying] to eat in a very close to the earth way, a very organic way," she explained.
Julia and Danny are not sure whether they want to expand their clan. At the moment they are very happy with being parents to twins Hazel and Finn, seven, and Henry, five.
"Do you want to see my birth certificate?" she laughed.
"One never knows what's going to happen, but I think we're good at three!"
