(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Julianne Moore claims actresses who try to land younger roles are destined to be really unhappy.
The Hollywood star will turn 50 in December and she insists she isnt worried about the landmark birthday. She has accepted she is getting older and she understands what type of movie roles are best suited to her which she believes has helped her career so far. Julianne has sympathy for other actresses who are desperate to hang on to their youth and dont want to face up to the ageing process.
Age is one of the things that is truly relative, she explained to Style magazine. All you can do is be where you are. I think youre only in trouble if youre my age and desperate to play the part of a 28-year-old. Then youre going to be really unhappy.
Julianne has no problems with her age because she feels she has achieved so much in her life. She has a successful career, is happily married to director Bart Freundlich and has two children 12-year-old Caleb and Liv, eight.
The flame-haired star insists people must accept that death is a certainty and try to make the best of their lives.
This is going to sound like a downer, but our fear about ageing is our fear of death, she added. The more you try to accept that, the less youll feel worried about being X age. (C) Cover Media
