(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Justin Bieber is being considered to star in the G.I. Joe sequel.

The Canadian pop sensation was followed by a film crew from summer 2010 leading up to his concert at Madison Square Garden at the end of August last year. The resulting 3D movie, Justin Bieber: Never Say Never, helmed by director Jon Chu, was released in America earlier this month.

Jon is one of the leading candidates to direct the follow-up to 2009s G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra, according to the Hollywood Reporter. The movie-maker said he would definitely consider 16-year-old Justin who debuted short hair this week - for a lead role in the blockbuster, as long as he grows his famous locks back.

Yes. He'd have his hair back and he would be fighting and flipping around everywhere, he told E! Online.

G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra follows an elite military unit comprised of special operatives, known as G.I. Joe. Channing Tatum stars in the lead role as Captain Duke Hauser.

Justin Bieber: Never Say Never has been in cinemas for only a few weeks, but Paramount is re-releasing the concert film on Friday. After reaching out to the singers fan base via Twitter and Facebook for suggestions, director Jon created a fan cut and added 40 minutes of new footage to the films 3D version.
