The 16-year-old singing sensation was discovered after he posted clips of himself singing on video sharing website YouTube. He then came to R&B superstar Ushers attention, and global success quickly followed.

The Canadian star performed Stevie Wonder's Someday for US President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle at the White House in 2009. Afterwards he posed for a picture with the couple, whose daughters Malia Ann and Natasha are big fans of Justins. Michelle admitted the girls would be furious they didnt get the chance to meet him, especially when they saw the photograph.

I think Michelle Obama actually said to me: My daughters are going to kill me that I am taking a picture with you and they didnt, so it was funny. I think there was some security thing last minute and they couldnt come, he told the British edition of OK! Magazine.

Justin - who has attracted a wide fan base since hitting worldwide fame - says he was thrilled to meet the powerful couple. The singer says he treasures the moment he met the president and keeps the photograph pride of place in his bedroom.

That was a huge honour, it was a blast, I had fun. I got to meet him and shake his hand, take a picture with him. That picture is on my wall now. Hes a very nice guy! he said. (C) Cover Media
