After Ranbir declined the role, Zoya had managed to rope in Ranveer Singh. Based on insiders, with Kareena also dropping out of the project, Zoya was keen on working with Priyanka Chopra, as the actress had worked with her brother Farhan Akhtar in 'Don 2'.

The news of Kajol being considered for the project, and the fact that Zoya's next could very well mark the comeback project for the actress, has added to the required pre-launch buzz for the filmmaker's next.
