It is not very often when you hear a leading Bollywood actress praise her contemporaries in an industry where catfights are in the air. But believe Kalki Koechlin to stun and surprise you every time.

The actress whose middle name is ‘unconventional’ has broken many stereotypes. Right from doing eccentric films, talking openly about her troubled marriage or rape in the Indian societies, Kalki has been one girl who wears her heart on her sleeves and always speaks her mind.

This time too Kalki stunned us when she confessed that she envies dusky beauty Priyanka Chopra and is completely in awe of her friend Deepika Padukone.

When asked about Priyanka, she claims she is one of the best actresses we have, "She's a fantastic actress and very beautiful. She started as a commercial actress and then moved to off-beat roles. I'm jealous she got to work with my favourite director Vishal Bhardwaj. Now she's opening up to an international market and is constantly reinventing herself," said Kalki.

When asked why she tags Deepika Padukone as her favourite, she says, "Because we've spent so much time during Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. She's extremely real despite the stardom. She's very motherly. I used to call her mother earth because she'd get food on the sets," laughs Kalki.
