South Indian popular actor-director, Kamal Haasan is making a comeback to Bollywood with the film, 'Amar Hain' which he will not only act in but also direct.
Reportedly, Saif Ali Khan has been approached to play the parallel lead. Haasan has been working on the project for six years. He asserted, "I put it aside because of prior commitments and strangely, even when I wrote it around six years ago, I was only thinking of Saif Ali Khan."
He further added, "It's the might of many actors which makes a film work. Saif has an important and equal role. His character is the good man so he is the hero of the film."
Haasan is busy with the current south Indian project, 'Thoongavanam' and as he wraps up, he will kickstart with the Bollywood project. The story of Amar Hain moves from Mumbai to North India and then, the rest of the world. The film will be shot in Mumbai, Delhi, London, Dubai, Jordan and US.
Hasaan revealed that the story is not periodic, but deals with contemporary sectors touching politics, finance and the underworld.
The actor was last seen in 'Hey Ram' in 2000.
