Kamal Haasan announces retirement, 'Indian 2' will be the last film

5th December 2018

The acclaimed actor from down south Kamal Haasan shocked his fans as he announced his retirement; revealing that 'Indian 2' will be his last film collaborating with Shankar. His last outing 'Vishwaroopam 2' failed to create an impact among the critics as well as the audiences and didn't do much at the box-office as well.

In an interview with a leading daily, Haasan said,"Makkal Needhi Mariam will field candidates in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Tamil Nadu. I'll quit acting after the upcoming project Indian 2, the shooting of which is slated to start on December 14."

'Indian 2' will star Kajal Aggarwal as the female lead which means that Kamal Haasan is saying goodbye to his film career focusing completely on his political career.

Kamal Haasan began his acting career as a child artist at the age of six. With the time to come, he undoubtedly became one of the finest actors and multi-talented personalities in India. It is disappointing for his fans that his cinema journey is finally coming to an end with Indian 2.

Haasaan has been active with his political moves a few months ago, he even released a couple of videos making certain requests to the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi regarding an issue pending in the supreme court. The iconic actor will be surely missed.
