Time and again, name dropping seems to be a part of the industry and they only make news in the newspaper columns. Several times, Shriya Saran has been reported to be entering the Kannada film industry. She was also reported to be a part of P Vasu's film starring Upendra. This time, Shriya spoke to a few journalists to clear air over the issue.

Shriya was at the Celebrity Cricket League media briefing, when she decided to speak on the matter. She is the ambassador from the Tamil film industry's team Chennai Rhinos. Shriya Saran mentioned that she has not accepted any Kannada film so far. "I would do Kannada films in future but so far I have made only a guest appearance in power star Puneeth Rajakumar's film 'Arasu'."

"There are offers but nothing has been committed to," she clarified. "I have a handful of commitments. I am participating in the Celebrity Cricket League, working in 'Raudram' in Tamil and the Malayalam film 'Casanovas'. I will give serious a thought to Kannada films after these assignments," Shriya stated.
