Kartik Aaryan roped in for Kannada hit 'Kirik Party' remake

Blockbuster Kannada hit film 'Kirik Party' which was made at a budget of 4 crores and went on doing tremendous business at the box-office raking 50 crores life-time business, is now being remade in Bollywood.

Ajay Kapoor of Kyta Productions has locked Kartik Aaryan as the lead actor who was last seen in Luv Ranjan's hit flick 'Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety'

The film has National award winner director Abhishek Jain on board who is best known for two Gujarati hit films, 'Kevi Rite Jaish' and 'Bey Yaar'. The film is a romantic comedy and the simplest love story from the backdrop of college life and how passion for love stands tall above all.

Confirming the news, trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "IT'S OFFICIAL... Kartik Aaryan in the Hindi remake of Kannada smash hit #KirikParty... Directed by Abhishek Jain... Produced by Dheeraj Wadhwan, Ajay Kapoor and Vrithika Laykar... Filming begins Oct 2018."

Earlier, Sidharth Malhotra was considered the lead but is now replaced by Kartik Aaryan who is best suited for the role. Producer Ajay Kapoor holds the official rights of the film and stated Kartik's involvement in the film to a leading daily. He said, "We are excited to have Kartik Aaryan on board, as he has a connect with today’s youth. We felt only he could bring this well-etched character alive on the big screen."

The shoot will begin in October this year and the film will be ready to hit the screens next year. Kyta Productions recently bankrolled John Abraham's 'Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran' that raked 65 crores on the box-office. They are also producing John Abraham's upcoming film 'RAW' (Romeo Akbar Walter).
