Kareena wants quality over quantity

22nd July 2014

It has been quite some time that Kareena Kapoor Khan did a film. Her last release was 'Gori Tere Pyaar Mein' which proved to be a dud at the box office.

The failure it seems has hit her hard, as the light eyed beauty has decided to pick quality over quantity in her career. One after the other, films have been turned down by Kareena who recently gave the reason behind her not signing the films.

She states that she would rather prefer to stay at home and read a book than be part of an unexciting project. She has turned down offers from filmmakers like Sujoy Ghosh, Karan Johar and even Zoya Akhtar.

When asked, Kareena retorts that she has made up her mind to do only quality cinema. "In the last five months, I think I have said no to six movies because I don't want to do anything that's not great. If I don't want to [be a part of a film], I am happy not to do it… I'd rather chill at home and read a book, or do something else. And that's a policy that I will stick to. Let people say, do or write what they want to. Like Saif says, 'Put your head down and don't do what you don’t like.' And after 15 years [in the industry], I am sure I have the right to do that," said Kareena.

She confessed that marriage has changed the way she looks at everything now. "My priorities are different because I am married now. I would like to work in a way that I can give certain time to a film. But then, I have to keep some time for my personal life as well. And I always wanted things to be like this," she added.
