There were huge expectations from Karisma Kapoor's comeback film 'Dangerous Ishhq'. The fact that it was helmed by veteran Vikram Bhatt who has given this industry some of the most memorable hits made it more attractive and anticipated. There was a huge hype around the film and high claims from Vikram had given birth to higher expectations.
However, all the hopes fell flat when the film was heavily criticized post its release at box office. The film has not only been slammed by critics but also the audience who has given it a very cold response.
Nonetheless, Karisma has no regrets on taking up the film for her comeback. She says that she is happy that she could show her film to her kids. "My seven-year-old daughter Samaira can now fully understand what her mummy does while my son (two-year-old Kiaan Raj) is still young. I wanted to do a film that they could also see. The film had elements of fantasy, costume drama and supernatural aspects. It is something that could appeal to them," said Karisma.
She further added that the film offered her the opportunity to experiment, "This was also something new to me. I had never done a film that required such technology. I was willing to experiment and go for something unique, I know that people are wondering why I chose his film; but for me, this was it. I have done several films and essayed several types of characters all these years. But this film spans several centuries and my character goes from today to hundreds of years into history. I could portray several personas in one film," justified Karisma on why she chose Vikram's offer amidst others.
