(Cover) - EN Fashion - Karl Lagerfeld has cancelled his signature show at the upcoming Paris Fashion Week.
The designer was due to reveal the latest collection from his Karl Lagerfeld range in October?s Fashion Week in the French capital. However, it is has been reported Karl has been removed from the Fashion Week schedule and will now be focusing on a more commercial line.
Karl?s company told Women?s Wear Daily that negotiations have begun "for the distribution and production of the designer's new vision".
The designer?s new collection will be called Masstige, and is said to be based on the concept of "mass elitism".
It is believed Karl will have less involvement than usual in the new line, as he wants to focus on his new ready-to-wear range, which will be sold online in time for next year?s Autumn/Winter season.
The designer will still be very present at Paris Fashion Week though ? he is the creative director of Chanel who will show at the event. Karl will also unveil a new collection of handbags he has designed for the label Hogan. (C) Cover Media
