December 30, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Kollywood actor Karthi had a grand 2010 in his professional life. He had three successful releases in this year after his debut in 2007. He started as an assistant director to renowned filmmaker Mani Ratnam and then debuted as the lead hero of Tamil film Paruthiveeran, which was a huge success and received critical acclaim.
Now, after having a professionally successful year, Karthi is planning to settle down in personal life too. However, Karthi made it clear some time back that he would marry the girl chosen by his parents and will not go for love marriage. Now, he has maintained the same stand saying that his parents are looking for a suitable match for him and marriage is surely on the cards in the coming days. We hope the New Year starts a new innings in his life and his parents soon get a perfect match for him.
In the career front, Karthi has nothing to complaint or ask for at this moment because all his three releases of 2010 became hits. Now, he is looking forward to 2011, when his next movie Siruthai releases during Pongal.
The 33 year actor says that 2010 will always remain a milestone year in his life because after his first release in 2007, this year he got three big hits in the form of Paiyya, Aayirathil Oruvan, and Naan Mahaan Alla.
However, Karthi is very down to earth and says that he needs to move very faster if he wants to reach the level of his elder brother superstar Surya.
