December 30, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Director Ram Gopal Verma has been experiencing the same problem as regards the release date of his movies, be they from Bollywood or the South Indian film industry. According to reports in the media, several of Ram Gopal Vermas recent releases have failed to hit theaters on the date fixed during the pre-production stage of filming. While his much awaited film Rakht Charitram was delayed by several days at the last moment, the upcoming RGV release Katha Screenplay Darsakatvam Appalaraju has also been postponed by at least one week.
According to reports in the media, Ram Gopal Verma will not be able to release his Telugu production on the said date of January 12 because several sequences for the film have not yet been shot! The reports doing the rounds in the media suggest that the director has failed to get together all his actors on the required day of shooting, as a result of which the filming could also not take place. RGV reportedly requires 23 of his lead actors to be present on sets of Katha Screenplay Darsakatvam Appalaraju at one time, a thing which is almost impossible and a thing that Ram Gopal Verma could not achieve!
Though the producer Kirankumar Koneru does not want further delay than the 19th of January, Ram Gopal Verma has asked for a postponement of more than one week. Katha Screenplay Darsakatvam Appalaraju, which is a satire on the Tollywood film industry was earlier scheduled for a January 12 Sankranti release.
