Kate Hudson emotional over Heaven movie

1st February 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kate Hudson struggled to watch her new movie A Little Bit of Heaven.

The actress plays Marley Corbett, a woman who discovers she is dying of cancer and then finds her perfect man, in the romantic drama. Many of the touching scenes have reduced audiences to tears and Kate admits she also found it tough to sit through the film.

Its a really bizarre thing to watch a movie you are in, for me it is strange to be critical when you are in something. But it got me big time, I had a hard time watching it, she said in an interview with British television show Lorraine. What I loved about this movie was how her cancer and her acceptance of her life and her death affects everyone around her.

Kate grew up in the entertainment industry and was raised by her Hollywood actress mother Goldie Hawn and stepfather Kurt Russell. The 31-year-old star always knew she wanted to be in show business and was entertaining people from a young age.

She revealed she was inspired by her mom when she was growing up and is still in awe of her now.

I was always performing, you know. I was dancing and I was singing and I cant remember every wanting to do anything else. The other thing is my parents are real believers in work ethic, Kate explained. She is just out of control. The other day we were walking and I thought, How is my mother thinner than me? Youre thinner than me and you look better than I do. How is that possible? Whats going on?

People always talk about their parents getting older but my mother is going to outlive all of us. (C) Cover Media
