(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Katie Holmes doesnt want another baby for a few years because she wants her four-year-old daughter Suri to get all her attention.

The 31-year-old actress has one child with her husband Tom Cruise and there are constant rumours the couple are planning to expand their brood as soon as possible. There have been repeated false reports that Katie is pregnant in recent months, and the star has now set the record straight.

She insists she doesnt want more kids for a long time yet because she wants Suri to feel as though she is an only child for her formative years.

"Maybe in a couple of years, but right now I want to make sure I'm really there for Suri," Katie told the October issue of the US edition of Marie Claire magazine. "I'm the youngest in my family - my closest sister is five years older than me, and the next one is nine years ahead of me, so I was a bit of an only child, and I liked it! I liked having all of my mom's attention, and sometimes I think I still do."

Katie and Tom travel the world for their careers, often spending months away from their Los Angeles home. Katie admits it can be challenging to maintain Suris routine, but says ensuring she always does her chores helps.

"We travel a lot, and so for me, it's keeping a daily schedule for Suri that never changes. We wake up and we do the same thing. She does her chores," Katie told the publication. "If she doesn't get her chores done, I notice she's not really herself. She has to make her bed, she has to take her dishes to the sink, she has to put her clothes in the laundry you know, that basic stuff."

Katie also ensures she spends lots of quality time with Suri. They have several activities they always do together, just as Katie used to do with her own mother when she was a child.

"I try to do what my mom did for me... just spending time with her, making doll clothes and planting in the garden," Katie said. "When Suri comes to the set, we have art projects, and I just try to keep her busy and inspired." (C) Cover Media
