(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Katie Melua says being on tour is phenomenal.
The Georgian-born singer is currently performing across Europe to showcase her fourth album The House. Katie loves being on stage and interacting with her fans and is enjoying her time on the road.
Its phenomenal, she told British television show Daybreak when asked about her current tour. There is nothing like that feeling of standing in front of an audience and hearing them sing back your songs, it is just incredible.
Katie released her first album, Call off the Search, when she just 19 and has been constantly busy ever since.
The 26-year-old star was ordered to take a break from her career in September last year after suffering a nervous breakdown. She was forced to postpone her tour dates until she recovered, and now accepts the toll her hectic work schedule took on her health.
It was just a case of being on the road for seven or eight years, my body just stopped working and I had to take some time out, she explained. Yeah it has been a long time [since I found fame], I sometimes feel quite old when I think about it.
Katie first impressed audiences when she appeared on spoof British television talent show Stars Up Their Noses. Even though the performance helped pave her way to success, the star wouldnt consider taking part in shows such as The X Factor because she doesnt think she would be good enough.
I could play the guitar while juggling? No I couldnt do that, so I would just lose straight away, she laughed. If you come to see me and tour and you are expecting juggling you will be disappointed! (C) Cover Media
