The 31-year-old singer is famed for her feisty attitude, and her confidence combined with unique talent and beauty has led some people to describe her as being intimidating.

Kelis insists she doesnt intend to come across that way though, and only unleashes her dominating nature when required.

I dont know, thats a good question, she replied when Look magazine asked if she thought she intimidated others.

I dont intimidate anyone who isnt worth intimidating! Are you intimidated?

Kelis was relieved when the journalist replied not really to her question. The singer then described herself as being a nice person.

Despite sometimes feeling she is misunderstood, Kelis doesnt let it get her down. The gorgeous star is confident the people who really matter know her true personality. She feels that shes an excellent mother to 16-month-old Knight, her son with ex-husband Nas, and is proud of the hard work she puts into parenting.

People dont know me. I dont know whether thats the same as being misjudged because why should they know me? I dont expect anything from strangers, I cant expect them to know that Im a great mother or sister, she explained.
