(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kelly Clarkson wants to "punch" Adele because she's so talented.

The American singer is a massive fan of the British musician, having previously said she'd love to duet with her.

Kelly particularly loves Adele's track Someone Like You, and thinks many modern artists could do with taking some tips from the 23-year-old.

"Oh my God I almost want to punch her she's so good! I saw her live three years ago in Boston and it was just the best gig," she told Company magazine. "Sometimes I listen to the radio and think, Oh no, my generation is ruining music!' Then Adele comes on and I'm in awe. Someone Like You is one of the best songs ever written."

Kelly also enjoys listening to tracks from her younger years.

She was into music when at high school and some of the artists she listened to then remain inspirations to her.

"End of the Road by Boyz II Men reminds me of my best friend Ashley because we were big fans in junior high school. It was a good contrast to Alanis Morissette, who I also loved at that age when you feel like the world is against you," she explained.
