Kelly Osbourne: I worked for respect

26th February 2012

Kelly Osbourne says she had to work "twice as hard" to earn respect in the showbiz industry.

The daughter of Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy Osbourne, the 27-year-old had a privileged yet traumatic youth riddled with psychological and self-esteem issues, stints in rehab and her parents' health problems.

With the help of therapy, Kelly has managed to turn her life around and is now enjoying a successful career in showbiz.

"I've got a new movie So Undercover with Miley Cyrus I've got my weekly filming with Fashion Police, I've got a few months left with Madonna, working on her Material Girl fashion line and I'm the creative director of cult variety show Beacher's Madhouse at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel," she told the UK edition of Hello magazine. "I've had to work twice as hard to get the respect and the jobs I've had. No one could say my life is boring."

Kelly also spoke of how "proud" she is of her brother Jack Osbourne.

Like Kelly, the 26-year-old has struggled with addiction in the past but overcame his issues by seeking professional help.

He is currently expecting his first child with fiance Lisa Stelly and has produced a documentary about his famous father.

"I'm so proud of Jack and his fiance," Kelly gushed. "Jack loves his privacy and he's turned out to be one of the most respectful, well-rounded and honest gentleman around. The two are going to make great parents."
