The pretty television star has wowed the public with her stylish new locks, admitting she became obsessed with having a thick fringe after she saw models sporting the look on the catwalk for Chanel last season.

Writing for E! Online, the fashionista revealed how she finally went for the chop last week, and hasnt looked back since because they are so versatile.

I can wear them ironed straight with a headband for more of a retro look or slightly messy and imperfect for an edgier '80s vibe, the star enthused.

Kelly admires style guru Nicole Richie for her tousled tresses and laidback bangs, which she thinks make the star look beautiful. According to Kelly, a quirky fringe can add plenty of personality to a womans style.

Nicole Richie did the same sort of shaggy rocker hair with bangs this summer and she looks great. It frames the face so nicely and makes you look pretty but with a bit of personality, she gushed.

Another advantage of bangs is that they hide any spots or wrinkles. Obviously the 25-year-old isnt worrying about the ageing process yet, but she thinks older stars could learn from her new hairdo.

It also covers any forehead imperfections. Especially if you're a bit older and want to mask any wrinkles. Forget Botox, just get bangs should be the new Hollywood motto! she laughed.
