Kelly Rowland says she is "Miss Merry Christmas".

The American songstress is looking forward to unwinding for the festive period after finishing up her role as a judge on The X Factor.

Kelly enjoys a traditional family holiday, and likes to get involved when it comes to preparations.

"I am Miss Merry Christmas, I love Christmas!" she gushed in an interview with Closer magazine. "I am baking, I am decorating, I am cooking, I am making the hot cocoa... I love Christmas, I can't wait!"

Kelly is going to be paying a few visits to pregnant best friend Beyonc Knowles over the holiday period. The star regrets not seeing her very much due to her hectic work schedule over the past few months.

"I'll see her over the holidays for sure, I wish I could have been around more for her pregnancy, but she understands," Kelly said. "We've known each other so long now, we're like sisters."
