(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kelsey Grammer has admitted his custody battle with ex-wife Camille Grammer could be "drawn out" and "unpleasant".
According to reports, the 56-year-old actor wants primary custody of the couple's six-year-old son Jude, while daughter Mason, nine, would remain in Los Angeles with her mother. Kelsey admits the legal battle could take some time to resolve and he fears his former wife could make proceedings difficult.
"Well I don't know yet, we'll see," he replied to America's OK! magazine when asked if Jude will be living with him in Chicago. "It's going to be a long drawn out thing and it'll be turgid and unpleasant I'm sure, but not on my side."
Kelsey also revealed his kids are keen for him to start a family with his new wife Kayte Walsh. The star insists Kayte had no problem fitting into his home life and his children have accepted her with open arms.
"She sees the loving angle in almost every situation. She's an extraordinary woman and I'm as blessed as I've ever been in my life," he explained. "Oh I think they're [his kids] very excited about the idea of having a new addition to the family. They're very, very cool about it. My son, Jude, especially. He's like, When are the children coming?'"
Kelsey is thoroughly enjoying married life and says he is happier than ever. The actor, who has been married three times before, claims this is the best relationship he has ever been in.
"She's just amazing. She's extraordinary. A lovely human being," he replied before being asked how it compares to his other marriages. "Like it's never happened before."
When asked if he will ever be able to repair the rift with Camille and become friends, Kelsey confessed, "I really can't say". (C) Cover Media
