(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kevin Costner was happy to receive "care packages" filled with junk food from his wife while abroad.
The American actor filmed his new TV series Hatfield & McCoys in Romania.
Kevin loved the experience, but he missed his home country's cuisine.
"The people we met were great, but I did miss the food," he told People magazine. "They have McDonald's everywhere, so we hit that a lot, and my wife [Christine] sent me care packages with cookies. It was really sweet and thoughtful."
Hatfield & McCoys details the real life feud between two families in rural West Virginia and Kentucky that ensued in the nineteenth century between the years of 1863 to 1891.
Kevin absolutely loved depicting a character who lived on America's frontier.
"You can't imagine! Going after the bad guys and leading a charge on horseback, there's nothing better," he gushed. "We had guns, horses, cabins and blood. It felt like being a kid again. It was rugged out there." (C) Cover Media
