(Cover) - EN Star Style - Khlo Kardashian has advised wearing a side ponytail for an instantly demure look.

The 26-year-old shot to fame alongside siblings Kim, 30, and Kourtney, 32 on reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and all three girls have become style icons thanks to their experimental dress sense and high-maintenance beauty regimes.

Khlo and Kourtney are happy to share tips with fans, with Khlo revealing her style advice for warm weather.

"I always think for the summer, people are going in and out of the pool or the ocean, and your hair is so much frizzier due to the weather, that pulling your hair into a side ponytail and doing a little braid, you just look chic," the star told StyleList at the recent John Frieda Destination: Style Salon Tour event in New York.

Kourtney is similarly a fan of up-dos, and thinks plaits are perfect for a day at the beach. She would even encourage women to try the risqu cornrow style which sister Kim once sported, although warned it can be painful.

"I love braids. I think it's easy, anyone can do it. Especially if you know your hair is going to get wet, it holds it all together. And it still looks good after," explained Kourtney.

"I love [cornrows]! Kim did that, the Bo Derek hair, and it looked so good on her, but that's, like, hard. You need to have a gorgeous face to pull it off, and she does, but it kinda hurts too. It's a big commitment." (C) Cover Media
