Kim Cattrall hasn't ruled out starring in Fifty Shades of Grey.
The Sex and The City actress confirmed she is being considered for the role of mysterious older woman Elena Lincoln in the big screen adaptation of the racy novel. Kim revealed she is up against Uma Thurman for the sexy part.
"As far as I'm aware it's potentially between me and Uma Thurman," Kim told Australian radio show hosts Kyle and Jackie O. "I think we are in minds at the moment. That's based on a lot of people's blogs and desires at the moment. As far as I know they are still writing the script so the casting is some way down the line."
Kim, who has previously denied any involvement in the film, could have an advantage over Uma in the casting race for Fifty Shades of Grey. It has recently been revealed that Uma has signed to another upcoming movie project - Lars Von Trier's film, Nymphomaniac, while Kim can fit the project into her schedule.
The 56-year-old star explained she is a fan of the erotic books.
"It's just been a sensation," Kim gushed. "It's truly extraordinary. Especially women on their kindles and with the way we like to whisper things!"
Whoever does play Elena is likely to share some steamy scenes with the lead male character Christian Grey. Stars linked to the role include Ryan Gosling, Ian Somerhalder, Matt Bomer and Chris Pine.
