(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kim Cattrall says people shouldn't think all acting co-stars are the best of friends, like they wouldn't expect "porn to be like sex".

The 54-year-old actress is best known for playing man-eater Samantha Jones in hugely successful television series Sex and the City and its two spin-off movies.

Kim starred alongside Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon in the popular franchise, and famously came to blows with her co-stars after she requested more money for their roles in the movies.

She initially refused to be in the movie spin-offs, because she was holding out for better pay which would be in line with Sarah's - who had always earned more as producer and star character, Carrie Bradshaw.

Kim, who fell out with Sarah over the pay fiasco, says people shouldn't always expect co-stars to get along swimmingly.

"It's kind of like expecting porn to be like sex," she said in Psychologies magazine. "We're actors, we were paid it was a great job."

Kim was appalled with her treatment from industry executives at the time. The stunning star stood up for what she believed in, and believes she shouldn't have been ostricised for that.

"If a man stands up for himself, he's fighting for his family. If a woman stands up, she's a mean, selfish b***h. I know I'm not any of those things," she explained. (C) Cover Media
