(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kim Kardashian has confirmed her album will be a little different.

The 30-year-old socialite is best known for her starring role in reality show Keeping Up with the Kardashians which follows the antics of her and her family.

Despite being the highest paid reality star in America, Kim has previously spoken of her desire to record an album, with Kanye West mooted as a possible collaborator.

She has now declared the project is underway with the help of a few famous friends. Kim explained her fans will be able to see a glimpse of the record once her new E! series begins in January.

"It's Kourtney and Kim Take New York, so it's a little bit different. They might freak out about [my friendship with singer] Ciara - just all my girlfriends are on it so we have our girl time. Ciara kind of talks me into doing something really crazy and unexpected. You're going to have to wait and watch the show. It's kind of in her world and not mine... I don't know... I'm having fun - that's all I'll say, but you'll definitely see it all unfold on the show, she revealed to MTV news. (C) Cover Media
