(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kim Kardashian says she "freaked out" after deciding to get married this summer.

The television star announced her engagement to basketball player Kris Humphries in May after a whirlwind romance. Kim didn't want to wait too long for the wedding, so decided to tie the knot in August. She admits the stress of planning such a high-profile event in a matter of months took its toll, but she is feeling more relaxed now.

"I think that all of my freak out moments kind of happened at the beginning when we decided to get married this summer so that's like when you are like, Oh, when and where?' So once all of those decisions were made, like this week I have been really calm," she told OK! magazine.

Kim and Kris are set to wed on August 20 in Montecito, California.

There are reports the couple have splashed out up to $20 million on the nuptials, with Kim wearing a bespoke Vera Wang gown and releasing a limited-edition perfume to mark the occasion. A host of stars including Jennifer Lopez, Will Smith, Eva Longoria and Justin Bieber are believed to have been invited to the lavish ceremony.

Kim, 30, has worked closely with her wedding planner to ensure her big day is perfect. She admits it has been a lot of hard work, but is confident it will be worth the effort.

"I mean it's been everything that I have dreamed of and more," Kim beamed. "I had no idea how much work really goes into wedding planning and I really do have this newfound respect for Sharon Sacks, my wedding planner!" (C) Cover Media
