Kim Kardashian put her current divorce woes aside to feed the homeless yesterday.

The reality star was joined by Jennifer Love Hewitt and Avatar star Zoe Saldana, 33, who donated their time to the Los Angeles Mission ahead of Thanksgiving Day.

The gang donned red aprons to serve food to the needy and a representative for the organisation told Us Weekly that Kim was "very cordial and friendly" at the event.

It was apparently Kim's first time at the Los Angeles Mission and she "worked hard in both the food preparation area and in serving the food to the guests."

The 31-year-old was apparently so overcome by the experience that she tweeted about the "many kindhearted people" she met on the day.

"Their goal is to feed 120,000 people by the end of the year," she shared. "We fed so many today. Every one of us can do something small that will make a huge difference to someone else."

Zoe, who has served at the LA Mission many times in the past, tweeted to her followers that they could help out by donating to the charity online.

The three celebrities had something else in common as they all suffered break ups in recent weeks.

The Keeping Up With The Kardashian star ended her relationship with Kris Humphries after just 72 days of marriage.

Meanwhile, Zoe announced last week that she and her fianc Keith Britton were ending their engagement after 11 years together.

And Jennifer's short lived relationship with boyfriend Jarod Einsohn recently finished after just a few months of dating.

Jennifer uploaded a picture of herself and Kim later in the day and gushed about the reality star.

"Kim Kardashian is more beautiful inside and out!" she wrote. "So fun."
