Kristen Stewart: All I can do is act

8th September 2010

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kristen Stewart says she would have "a lot of pent-up energy" if she wasn't acting because she can't do anything else.

The 20-year-old American star is best known for her role as Bella Swan in the blockbuster movie franchise Twilight, and is considered by critics to be one of Hollywood's hottest young talents.

Kristen thinks if she hadn't made it as an actress, she would have struggled to find a career to suit her personality and skills set.

"I would have a lot of pent-up energy. It would be very frustrating. I'm not good at anything else. I'm bad with my hands. I can't make stuff," she confessed in an interview with Stylist magazine.

She went on to explain how she enjoys acting because it allows her to examine the behaviour of human beings in a philosophical way. The actress then decided that she could have perhaps become a writer because of her analytical nature.

"Acting is so self-indulgent and self-reflective and we just think about people and how they deal with one another. That's probably what I'd continue to do!" She said. "I'd be the over-analytical girl who writes."

Kristen also discussed her role as a Hollywood star, and explained how she dislikes it when people tell her to behave in a certain way because she's a role model to young girls. Kristen argues that youngsters should never try to copy somebody just because of their celebrity.

"Actors as role models.. I think a lot of girls have role models they don't want to emulate specifically. Not everyone is perfect," said the star. (C) Cover Media
