Kristen Stewart: Vampires are cool

12th August 2011

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Kristen Stewart "f**king loves being a vampire" in the latest Twilight instalment.

The actress' character Bella Swan falls pregnant with her vampire husband's baby in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, which has been broken into two parts to be released this year and next.

To save her life during childbirth, Robert Pattinson's Edward Cullen finally fulfils her wish to become immortal.

Kristen says the appeal of being a vampire to her is obvious.

"I get asked all the time, like, What is the appeal with vampires in general, and our story,'" she mused in an interview with W magazine.

"They're a little dangerous, we girls like to test ourselves, which is a huge part of the story, and I also f**king love being a vampire."

Before hitting international fame in the hugely successful film franchise, Kristen worked with some big names such as Jodie Foster, who she starred alongside in Panic Room. The 21-year-old star recalls becoming "frustrated" on set because of the amount of takes that were being shot.

"I worked with David Fincher when I was really young doing Panic Room. We would do 80 takes of something and I would be kind of frustrated and confused at the end of it," she explained.

"I didn't realise that that wasn't normal."

Kristen has detailed the performance that inspired her work as an actress the most. The star says 1974's A Woman Under the Influence, about a wife and mother whose madness proves to be a problem in her marriage and family life, had a profound effect on the way she views acting.

"There have always been a few performances that have always been huge inspirations for me as an actor. After I was already in it and doing work, I saw A Woman Under the Influence. I think I was about 15," she revealed.

"I didn't necessarily relate to where she was in her life, it was just that it was one of those performances that, I don't mean to get into this subject necessarily, but just that it was a tough character to love until the end. That's sort of not common for a starring role. It's always someone who overcomes, who runs away from her husband who beats her. Something that's a bit easier and more obvious to relate to."
