K.V. Anand, who turned a hit director with the film 'Ko' after 'Ayan', is working on the script of his next release 'Maatraan'. After 'Ayan', this will be Anand's second film with Suriya in the lead. The hunt for the leading lady still continues and sources say that it may be Kajal Agarwal or Samantha who will share the screen with Suriya. The film was supposed to start way before Anand's last release 'Ko' but the project was shelved due to reasons unknown. It is also reported that Bollywood actresses Sonakshi Sinha or Anushka Sharma are considered to play lead role in the film.

Anand has roped in the marvelous musician Harris Jeyaraj, who will score the music for 'Maatraan', while Kalpathi Aghoram's AGS Entertainment is producing it. 'Maatraan' is expected to go on the floors from June, meanwhile Suriya is busy working for A.R. Murugadoss's 'Ezham Arivu'.

For the very first time, Suriya will be portraying five different characters in one film that is 'Maatran'.
