As impossible as it may seem, even the superhero Rajinikanth can fall ill!! Yesterday, while shooting in Chennai for his magnum Opus, 'Rana', with Deepika Padukone, Rajini complained of uneasiness on the sets and was rushed to Isabella hospital.

In fact, being the first day of shoot, the 61-year-old had just completed the mahurat shot, when he started feeling very unwell. He did look off-colour even as he entered the studio, as he had been under the weather over the past couple of days. When he complained that he was very unwell, is when he was rushed to the hospital. He was accompanied by wife Lata, who had come along for the mahurat.

However, even the hospital couldn't hold back the great Rajini too long. Suffering from dehydration, he was administered an IV drip, before being discharged in the evening. He has been advised strict bed-rest for the next few days, which should not be too much of a deterrent as the first week's schedule mainly comprises shooting with Deepika. Rajinikanth is known for his uncompromising dedication towards every film he has worked in, and there is no need for the director to worry too much about this little hiccup!

Produced by Eros International, 'Rana' is a magnum opus that also stars Sonu Sood in a pivotal, negative role. Rajinikanth plays a triple role in the film, which will be released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu simultaneously sometime next year.
