(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Lady Gaga insists she doesn't have many famous friends.

The songstress has risen to international success since the release of her debut album The Fame in 2008, which was a critical and commercial success.

Gaga says despite her popularity in the charts, her social circle is made up entirely of friends she had before finding fame.

"I don't really have many famous friends," she is quoted as saying. "I only have a couple of friends in the business."

Gaga says the music industry is a fickle place. The 25-year-old singer intends on staying away from "fake Hollywood" types and remaining true to her New York roots.

"I like to stay away as it is really hard to trust people and there are a lot of fake people in Hollywood. I am from New York and I am quite nave in a way," she added. (C) Cover Media
