Superstar Rajesh Khanna's sad demise left the nation stunned. But that has not stopped the people from honoring his contribution towards Indian cinema.

The actor, posthumously has been named for the 'Padma Bhushan'. Just recently, he was announced as the recipient of the country's third highest civilian honor and was bestowed with the title on the eve of Republic Day.

Fondly remembered as 'Kaka', the actor started his career with 'Aakhri Khat' in 1966. He lost his life battling a prolonged illness at the age of 69 in July, 2012.

Though the actor is no more with us, we still remember him and the memories he has left for us in the form of films.
